Biography
I am a Professor in the Department of Informatics and Statistics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where I also earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science. My research lies at the intersection of human and computational cognition, creativity, machine learning, and psychometrics, with a particular focus on Software Product Creativity.
During my doctoral studies, I was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Connecticut (Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development) and later served as an Affiliated Researcher at Georgetown University (Laboratory for Relational Cognition, 2024–2025). From 2013 to 2023, I was a core member of the Software Quality Group (GQS) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where I now serve as the group’s coordinator.
My background bridges academia and industry, with experience as a Data Scientist and Analytics Engineer in technology companies and intelligence observatories, as well as previous tenure as a Lecturer at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) from 2020 to 2022.
