Biography
I am a Professor in the Department of Informatics and Statistics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where I also earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science. My research lies at the intersection of human and computational cognition, creativity, machine learning, and psychometrics, with a particular focus on Software Product Creativity.
During my doctoral studies, I was a Visiting Researcher at the Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development at the University of Connecticut. Later, I served as an Affiliated Researcher at the Laboratory for Relational Cognition at Georgetown University (2024–2025). From 2013 to 2023, I was a core member of the Software Quality Group (GQS) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where I now serve as the group’s coordinator.
My background bridges academia and industry, with experience as a Data Scientist and Analytics Engineer in technology companies and intelligence observatories, as well as previous tenure as a Lecturer at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) from 2020 to 2022.
